Chapter 8
"Christmas"
The next day when Steph and Matt woke up the didn’t hesitate getting up and getting ready. They got ready and went downstairs. They helped clean up the house and cook. Then Stephanie and her mom called her grandmother and grandfather-who didn’t come because they stayed home to take care of the animals- and Steph’s dad-who was at his sister’s. By the time they had done all that is was almost time for the guys to come over.
When they all arrived everyone was introducing each other and hugging and just chatting and saying hello. Jesse made his was though the crowd toward Stephanie, who was being introduced to Chris’ mom. She got finished talking to her and saw Jesse. “Hey!! Merry Christmas!!” she said as she gave Jesse a big hug. “Hey babe...Merry Christmas!!” he said and kissed her. “Ok guys...everyone to the table...time to eat.” Matt’s mom yelled. They all sat down and started eating. When they all finished they went into the living room to exchange gifts. Every one was talking, laughing and opening presents. Jesse loved the present Steph got him-though he had already known what it was- and she loved the necklace he got her. It was a silver chain with a heart that said, “I love you!” on it. Everyone loved their gifts.
It was getting late and everyone was tired. As Jesse and Steph got up they noticed they were under the mistletoe. They looked at each other and kissed...Steph’s mom and Jesse’s mom both got a picture. They all headed to the door. They all hugged and were saying their goodbyes. Steph came over to Chris and hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. “Thanks for the gift.” she said. He had given her TY beanie baby because Matt had mentioned before that she loved them. “You’re welcome. Thank you for mine too.” he said. She had gotten him chain necklace because she knew he collected them. They said bye to each other and Steph hugged and thanked the other guys. Then she hugged Jesse and thanked him. He thanked her. Everyone said bye and left. Steph hugged Matt and then they helped pick up the wrapping paper. Jen wanted everyone to hurry and go to bed so Santa would come. They all went to bed.
When they got up they went to see what Santa brought. Jen got most of the things she asked for, like a rocking horse and my size Barbie. Matt and Steph got something too. They both got a Nintendo game cube. They just spent the rest of the day as a family. They played Nintendo and with Jen’s toys and just had a great time.
